PHOTOGRAPHY
For all of these photos, I used two LED lights to get bright lighting. I also used some props that I had in my apartment or bought at Walmart.
For the marble background, I used two things. One of them was a plastic marble platter. I used the inside of it and masked out edges in Lightroom if needed. The other marble product I used was contact paper that is used for shelf lining. I found this at Walmart and it was a very inexpensive option to use for this project. The other things I used to style my project were rose gold utensils, measuring cups, tea towels, and various ingredients. All of these items were also found at Walmart. After photographing each food, I added some editing in Lightroom to enhance the natural coloring and features of each dish. I did this to create the bright, fresh feel that I was going for. You will also notice small tributes to my great grandma throughout these photos. As I wanted to incorporate her handwritten and typewritten recipe cards, I included those as decoration in each title page of the book. That way, everyone can see her beautiful writing. |
